Material Finish
Our Metalic Colour acrylics are high grade cast acrylic with a gloss finish both sides, unless stated as having a matte finish in which case there would be a matte finish one side and gloss finish on the other. Note that colours may vary when viewed on different monitors, For exact colour swatches you can purchase sample swatch packs. See sample swatches in the materials list.

Protective masking
Each side of the acrylic sheet is coated with a protective plastic film to prevent scratching during transport and storage. For best results, store acrylic lying flat to help prevent warping. Remove the protective film before etching or engraving.

Why use cast acrylic?
Cast acrylic material provided a high thickness consistency and is easy to fabricate, with less chance of warping or shrinkage, when compared to extruded acrylic. Cast acrylic will cut easily without meting edges and can be polished to a high lustre after cutting.
